The reason I am starting this page is to help people to protect an expensive item they may have purchased. My story is this, I spent over $2800 on a name brand mattress from a name brand store. This mattress came with a 20 year warranty. To make a long story short, 3 years after having the mattress it went down hill. Springs popping out, changed shape, the sided where caving in and we where loosing sleep.

If you did some research, this is very common seeing they are pumping out these mattresses very fast and from what I hear with little quality control.

So here is what happens when you call to put a claim under warranty.

1) The company will most likely sent a 3rd party company who inspects the mattress for defects.

 This person will take pictures and do a good inspection of your mattress.

Usually takes 5-7 days for them to come

2) Your inspection is sent to the company and they will review the claim and decide if the mattress is with in manufacturer standards or not up to manufacturer standards

Usually takes 5-7 days to hear back via mail

3) If it is deemed that your mattress is up to manufacturer standards, you get nothing.

If it is deemed that you mattress is bad, you will get a store credit in the mail for the price of the mattress that you purchased

Here is how the scam starts to unfold......

You get your credit in the mail and they instruct you to go to the local store and pick out a new mattress.

Well with inflation and model changes you will most likley never find a comparable mattress for the same price you paid.

You will most likely have to spend extra money out of your pocket for a mattress of the same quality and comfort.

This is how they get you. You buy a nice mattress with a long warranty and when it goes bad, they don't just replace it, they try to get you for more money unless you fight tooth and nail. It is bad.

So now you are pissed off, you set up to have your new mattress delivered ( OH BY THE WAY, They will charge you a delivery fee. Yes, your busted mattress is covered under warranty and they charge you $50 to $100 to deliver the replacement)

Here is the whole moral of this site.

The delivery company will probably be and outside company not affiliated with the mattress store. They are instructed NOT to take ANY mattress with a

Stain
Blemish
Dirt
Marks
Dust and lots more

If they bring back a mattress with stains, they are charged the fee.

So let me tell you, if you don't want to see a delivery truck drive away fast, you BEST, you MUST, you HAVE TO. protect your mattress the best you can.

These driver's are trained to pick up any little mark. They do not want to take a hit for bringing back a bad mattress.

When they got to my house, the driver found a brown line on the side of the mattress, they called up the company and told them there was a stain and my warranty was immediately void and noted in the computer.

The scary thing is that the mark was a line of dust which was patted out after they left.

So the fight goes on and they are supposed to come back for another inspection and we will see what happens.........

MATTRESS SCAMS

When I purchased the mattress I was talked into buying an $89 mattress protector which has been on from day one. The trouble is in only protects the top and my issue was on the side. What I should have done and will do on the new mattress and every mattress going foward is get a full 6 side protection cover. YOU MUST.

There are mattress out there for $5000 and more. One accident and you are done.

When they give you this long term warrany, how can they expect a person to have not one mark, not one blemish, stain, nothing for 10, 20 or 30 years. It is impossible... ANd this is the scam. They replace very few mattresses even if they are completely broken and deemed out of manufacturer standards.

This here is the one I have and agian in the best because it covers all 6 sides and is easy to use with the zippers. Protects against spills, bed bugs and lots more. Read what the manufacturer says and look at the 10 year warranty with this product

Even if you don't get the items below, please get something to protect you mattress and the best thing is to get a full blow 6 sided protection.

These items below I have found. I do not make them I will just give you a link to popular places that sell them. It is worth it and I kick myself now that I didn't have one of these from day one.
